Chinese New Year - Monday 15th February 2010 - Year of the Tiger
To celebrate Chinese New Year - Year of the Tiger two artists Dr. Chun-Chao Chiu and Matthew Blackman were commissioned by Newcastle City Council and the Chinese Festival Group to design and construct a paper mache Tiger for Newcatle City Library.
Katherines Florists who have had a long standing relationship with the Chinese community throughout their 40 years in business designed and created an exquisite Tiger bouquet which was presented to a lady councillor at Newcastle City Library and showcased for the public to view alongside the paper mache Tiger.
