Firstly we’d love to give everyone a warm welcome to the new Katherine’s Florists blog. Here at Katherine’s Florists we cater for all kinds of occasions including: Weddings, Birthdays, Funerals and Corporate events. We help our clients create simply stunning events and make their house bloom with our beautiful flowers on a daily basis – so it seemed rude not to be sharing some of our little gems of knowledge.
What better way to kick off our new and shiny blog than with a wedding piece – wedding season is well and truly upon us and we have got an abundance of wedding arrangements flying out of our doors every week. Choosing your wedding flowers can be quite a daunting process but by choosing the right florist it really doesn’t need to be – a good florist will guide you through the process and help you create your dream day.
When deciding on your wedding florist, you will be asked in for a consultation. Before you go it is beneficial to have an idea of style and themes you may have in mind – this way your florist will be able to understand what you want from your wedding. We find that a lot of our Brides use the likes of Pinterest and Instagram (our favourites) to help them decide. This is really helpful for your florist – they can get a good idea of what you want from your wedding through images. We’ve pulled together some of our stunning weddings to help you get an idea of what you want from your wedding.
First up we’ve got this beautiful wedding at Wynyard Hall – if you’re looking for a classically, stunning wedding this is a gorgeous way to present your wedding flowers on your big day. This lovely wedding bouquet includes peonies, David Austen and blousy roses, double lisianthus and astilbe, complemented with eucalyptus and soft lime green bells foliage.
This simply beautiful wedding at The Beamish Black Horse, enthused the country, rustic aspect mixed with stunning stylish peonies, David Austen Roses, scented stocks and larkspur enhanced with soft lime green green bells.
Victoria came to our Creative Director, Helen looking for bright and bold colours with a rustic feel. We included delphiniums, ranunculus, tulips, hyacinths complemented with eucalyptus and green bells.
This stunning wedding featured David Austen and blousy roses, astilbe with chic lime green bells. The gorgeous button holes included thistles – which made a lovely addition to the roses and green bells.
This is just a small, handful of examples of the type of flowers you can have for your wedding. Pop over to our wedding inspiration page to get an idea of the type of flowers you’d like for your big day. If you’d like to find out more about how we can help you with your wedding arrangements, simple pop us an email on info@katherinesflorists.co.uk and we will be more than happy to arrange a consultation.
